The Apprentices Act, 1961 was enacted to regulate the training of apprentices in industry and ensure systematic skill development across sectors. Under this act, the Government of India launched two major schemes: NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) and NATS (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme).
NAPS focuses on promoting apprenticeship training across all industries by providing financial support to employers and stipend reimbursement to apprentices. NATS specifically targets engineering and technology graduates, offering them structured training programs in industrial environments to enhance their employability.
UdyogVikas Skills Council operates as an authorized Third Party Aggregator (TPA), facilitating seamless implementation of these programs. We connect industries with aspiring apprentices, manage compliance requirements, handle documentation, and ensure smooth onboarding through the government's apprenticeship portal. Our role bridges the gap between policy and execution, making apprenticeship accessible and beneficial for all stakeholders.
